Geeks With Guns Are the Key to Better IT Practices

For most of us in the Information Technology sector circa late-2009 the ability to bend the time-space continuum for ourselves or our clients has become a foregone conclusion. Backed-up data, Microsoft’s Volume Shadow Copy, and Control-Z Undos are de rigueur in our lives. Unfortunately, this ubiquity of ability has bred a culture of laziness when it comes to planning and addressing possible consequences of decisions.

The root of this issue is the inherent lack of permanency within modern Information Technology. In an INFOSEC role, however, this malleable environment begins to change rapidly.
